  belief\, the Gettysburg Campaign did not end at the banks of the Potomac 
 on July&nbsp\;4th\, but deep in central Virginia two weeks later along the
  line of the Rappahannock. The two&nbsp\;weeks that followed was a grand c
 hess match between Meade and Lee. The ensuing two weeks of&nbsp\;hard marc
 hing\, cavalry combats\, heavy skirmishing\, and set-piece fighting threat
 ened to escalate into a&nbsp\;major engagement with the potential to end t
 he war in the Eastern Theater\, but it was far from over.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p
 >\n<p>Jeffrey Hunt is the Director of the Texas Military Forces Museum at 
 Austin\, Texas\, and an adjunct Professor of History at Austin&nbsp\;Commu
 nity College. He holds a bachelor&rsquo\;s degree in government and master
 &rsquo\;s degree in history\, both from the University of Texas at&nbsp\;A
 ustin. Mr. Hunt is the prolific author of Meade and Lee After Gettysburg: 
 The Falling Waters to Culpeper Court House.</p>\n<p>This program is presen
 ted as a public service by the North Jersey Civil War Round Table and is p
 art II of a three-part series The Winter of Gen. George Meade.&nbsp\; Part
