Blender is a super powerful and free anima tion suite available for download at ht tps://www.blender.org/ \;Blender has a wide range of uses includin g animation\, architectural visualization\, virtual reality\, art\, 3d pri nting\, and more. \;
\nIn this three-week workshop\, you will le arn how to 3D model\, design\, and render in Blender's 3D environment. Eac h week we'll cover a new skill or concept\, and then work on a project to export as a final image in our last session. At the end of these three wee ks\, you should have some fundamental knowledge to start creating projects on your own. Having access to your own computer at home or using Blender in our Learning Labs is suggested. \;
\nThe Learning Labs are your community makerspaces. If you are a v ideographer\, graphic designer\, creative professional\, hobbyist\, or art ist\, the Learning Labs have the software and equipment to turn your visio n into reality. Programs are free and open to the public. Access to the Le arning Labs is free with a GCPL library card. Out-of-county patrons can pu rchase a full-access library card for $40 a year.
