 leads to a life-threatening heart condition\, she must navigate an all-mal
 e medical establishment unwilling to terminate her pregnancy in order to s
 ave her life. Her journey for a solution leads her to Virginia (Sigourney 
 Weaver)\, an independent visionary fiercely committed to women's health\, 
 and Gwen (Wunmi Mosaku)\, an activist who dreams of a day when all women w
 ill have access to abortion\, regardless of their ability to pay. Joy is s
 o inspired by their work\, she decides to join forces with them\, putting

 s another film\, this time falling squarely on the other side of the abort
 ion&nbsp\;debate. People who are viscerally pro-choice may find it persona
 lly&nbsp\;offensive.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>While it would be easier to 
 cancel both films\, or better yet not schedule them in the first place\, d
 oing so would do disservice to the mission of the library. Learning\, grow
 th\, understanding\, and empathy cannot occur if we censor ourselves. Our 
 role is to educate and provide a forum in which people can expand their ho
 rizons. Sometimes that process can be painful\, especially&nbsp\;when one 
 confronts a long held opinion/bias. With respect to the pro-life/pro-choic
 e debate\, we have plenty of books of a more conservative nature and by co
 nservative writers who are against the practice\, just as we have material
 s representing the opposite. This particular topic is charged and controve
 rsial\, but because it remains relevant&nbsp\;today no matter which side y
 ou're on\, it is therefore appropriate&nbsp\;to allow the public to debate
 \, and have the opportunity to see and hear from both sides.&nbsp\;</stron
