This is a popular dish that originated in the coastal regions of the Southern Lowcountry and is considered a southern staple fo r decades. Inspired by a strong lineage\, Jesse Jones is a classically tra ined chef and author renowned for his modern approach to southern cuisine with French techniques. \;A native of Newark\, New Jersey\, Chef Jesse 's culinary DNA was developed during childhood summers in Snow Hill\, Nort h Carolina where his grandmother's cast iron stove was the source of many memorable food experiences. Today\, he continues to be influenced by her l egacy\, bridging past and present through interpreting classic southern di shes with French techniques. \;
