  Vanishing Half</em></p>\n<p>Twins\, Stella and Desiree Vignes\, were inse
 parable growing up as children in a southern community. Then why does Stel
 la leave her twin and her heritage and choose to live in a &ldquo\;white&r
 dquo\; world? Bennett explores many complex and intertwined themes\, such 
 as racism and colorism\, in this intergenerational\, character-driven\, co
