Malton Neighbourhood Services&rsquo\; Blac k Family Support Program (BFSP) provides culturally informed services for Black families within the Region of Peel. We offer a variety of programs a nd services for Black children\, youth\, and families. This is a multiface ted program that includes: drop-in play-based learning experiences\, paren t supports\, individual and family counselling\, youth programs and system s navigation. The BFSP aims to foster resiliency in the Black community.\n
The Black Family Parent/Child Drop-in Program is a program for Blac k children and their parents/caregivers. The program has a culturally focu sed lens for its parenting initiatives and mentorships. It is a fun place to play\, explore\, sing\, and read to support Black children&rsquo\;s soc ial\, emotional\, and learning development. Black families can connect wit h one another to increase community awareness\, get to know their neighbou rs\, and speak to other adults around parenting regarding their cultural a nd social experiences. Additionally\, staff are there to connect resources \, system navigation and much more through the program to families who are seeking support.
