\nLocal artist Marie Lewis presents how to paint wate rcolor roses using the Chinese brush method. \; \; Learn how to ho ld the brush in a very different way to master the proper strokes of Chine se brush painting. \; Marie also presents background information about the Chinese theory of beautiful art. As a teacher\, artist and calligraph er\, Marie always shares from her vast knowledge of color\, paper\, inks\, paint and so much more.

Our membership consists of a very diverse group of calligraphers\, from the hobbyist to the full-time professional and every level of intere st in between. We come from Alabama\, Tennessee\, Florida\, Georgia\, Miss issippi\, and Kentucky and many of our members travel to Birmingham to par ticipate in the numerous learning opportunities hosted by the guild.
