  Art Exhibit:</strong></p>\n<p>In honor of Women's History Month\, The Bur
 ke Branch will feature the award-winning tapestry entitled "Women from the
  Dawn of Time".&nbsp\;This work is a large cross-stitch piece highlighting
  216 women throughout history who have made major contributions to numerou
 s fields. &nbsp\;Anita Barondes\, who lives in Alexandria and volunteers f
 or the Burke Branch Friends group\, took four years to research\, design\,
  and stitch the tapestry. &nbsp\;This stunning piece&nbsp\;was awarded a f
 irst-place prize&nbsp\;and The People Choice Award at the&nbsp\;prestigiou
 s&nbsp\;Woodlawn Needlework Show in 2021.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Stop by du
