X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Young Scientist + U is a <strong>7-session
 </strong>\, <strong>virtual</strong> science-oriented STEAM program\, oper
 ated by <a href="https://www.upluseducation.ca/">U+ Education</a>. Each se
ssion will feature a theme from a different field of science\, such as phy
sics\, chemistry\, and biology. Students will learn about interesting fund
amental science concepts while conducting hands-on experiments\, in turn b
ecoming junior scientists themselves!&nbsp\; This program is virtual\, but
materials will be provided. Parent participation is not required.</p>\n<p
 >Registration is required</p>\n<p>Skills learned: Critical thinking\, Crea
tivity\, Collaboration</p>\n<p>Please review the guidelines and frequently
  asked questions on our&nbsp\;Program FAQ.</p>\n<p>How it Works:</p>\n<p>1
. Register for your project kit - the kit will include everything you need

is ready for pickup from Iroquois Ridge branch.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>3. Join us
on Zoom\, every Tuesdays at 4:00pm to start the journey to becoming a sci
 entist!</p>\n<p><span style="color: #3366ff\;"><strong>Session 1: Tuesday
 Jan 10\, 2023 - Dazzling Density</strong></span></p>\n<p>Objectives: Parti
cipants will learn what density is\, how to compare the densities of vario
us liquids and create upside down fireworks in a jar.</p>\n<p><span style=
