X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p><strong>This event will happen In-Person a
t Sherwood Village Branch. Materials provided (NOTE: please bring a digita
l/physical photograph of someone wearing patterned fabric to the workshop)
.</strong></p>\n<p>Good for adults\, but families welcome. By thinking abo
ut the concept of "unskilled labour" as it relates to the garment industry
\, we will consider the skill and labour that goes into the making of text
ile and clothing. We will then continue this investigation by translating
images of cloth into drawings.</p>\n<p><strong>Bring a digital or physical
photograph of someone wearing patterned fabric to the workshop.</strong>
We will use this as source material to create a macro version of this micr
o view of worn clothing. By doing so\, we will slow down our process of vi
ewing images\, imagine the larger fabric this fragment has been cut from\,
and think about the life-cycle of clothing. <strong>Paper\, magnifying gl
asses and dry media such as coloured pencils and markers will be provided.
</strong> You may also bring your own.</p>\n<p>We invite you to also join
us afterwards for the <a href="https://www.reginalibrary.ca/attend/program
