 esentation on the history of lace and lacemaking. After the presentation\,
  members will offer hands-on demonstrations of various lacemaking techniqu
 es and tools of the trade. They will be available to field questions about
  this beautiful craft and fiber art form.</p>\n<p>Presenters include Peggy
  Bowen (bobbin lace)\, Glenda Lee (tatting)\, Joan Thomas (Oya/needle lace
 s) and Jean Mitchell (bobbin/needle lace).</p>\n<p>Peggy Bowen has been ma
 king bobbin lace for about 35 years. To Peggy making bobbin lace is a medi
 tation\, like making music can be\, but quieter\, and when you finish you 
 have something pretty to show for your time!&nbsp\;Peggy is a member of IO
 LI\, International Organization of Lace Inc. and is the current President 
 of The Dogwood Lace Guild.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Glenda Lee is a true Arkansas na
 tive. With her heritage in Northwest Arkansas going back multiple generati
 ons\, she has had the good fortune to be grounded in traditional crafts th
 roughout her life.&nbsp\;Glenda learned to crochet at 6 and knit at 12 fro
 m her mother and grandmothers. She discovered tatting at 16 and found her 
 true fiber love. Her love of fiber crafts is inspired by learning how the 
 parts make the whole.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Lacer Joan Thomas has been tatting fo
 r over 25 years. It was not until moving to Oklahoma in 2014 did she expan
 d her love of lacemaking to other forms like bobbin and needle lace. Joan 
 is an active member of three IOLI\, International Organization of Lace Inc
 .\, guilds: The Dogwood Lace Guild (Springdale AR)\, The Lacemakers Guild 
 of Oklahoma (Bartlesville OK)\, and The Show Me Lacemakers (Branson MO)\, 
 and is also a proofreader for the IOLI&rsquo\;s quarterly Bulletin magazin
 e.</p>\n<p>The Dogwood Lace Guild meets at the Shiloh Meeting Hall at 10:0
 0am on the first Saturday of the month. To confirm the meeting time\, you
