 ether we will explore a new creative project with a guest artist each mont
 h. Registration is limited to 2SLGBTQ+ -identified people in Waterloo Regi
 on. This month we are exploring Japanese stab binding techniques for book 
 binding with Alyssa Pisciotto. Participants will be walked through the met
 hodology and stitching process of each style\, as well as learn a brief hi
 story about this method of binding books. The Three stitches that will be 
 taught are The Nobel Stitch\, The Tortoise Shell and the Hemp Leaf Stitch.
  These patterns will increase in difficulty and build on the previous stit
 ch&rsquo\;s methods. This is a beginner friendly workshop with no experien
 ce necessary.</p>\n<p><strong>A materials kit will be available to pick up
  starting on April 17\, 2023</strong> at Idea Exchange\, Queen's Square - 
 Member Services.</p>\n<p>Other items you will need for the workshop includ
 e: scissors\, ruler\, eraser\, pen/pencils/markers in a few different colo
 urs.</p>\n<p>This workshop is offered virtually. You only need to register
  once per device. <br /><br /><strong>About the instructor:</strong> <br /
 >Alyssa Pisciotto is a queer artist from LaSalle\, Ontario and now resides
  in Toronto. She graduated from OCAD University in 2016 with a Bachelor of
  Fine Arts\, majoring in Drawing and Painting and minoring in Printmaking.
  Painting and printmaking are her primary practice. Her current work revol
 ves around themes of colour\, line and shape\, and how they interact with 
 one another. Alyssa has shown in galleries across Canada and the United St
 ates\, and has been a part of a year-long special exhibition at TheMuseum 
 in Kitchener\, Ontario. Alyssa is currently working with The Art Gallery o
 f Windsor to create and deliver arts programing with their Art With Heart
