X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Join Under the Mountain on April 23\, 2023
for an evening of otherworldly airs and dread storytelling with GHOST FOO
 D as they perform live their 2022 EP\, SPEARFINGER!!</p>\n<p><em>Cherokee
legend has it that there is a terrifying\, shape-shifting witch with skin
as hard as rock and a long stone knife in place of one of the fingers on h
 er right hand.&nbsp\;</em></p>\n<p><em>U&rsquo\;tlun'ta (or N&ucirc\;&ntil
de\;'yunu&rsquo\;&iuml\;) is her name and she has an unquenchable taste fo
r human livers\, especially those belonging to children.</em></p>\n<p><em>
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark woods of the Southeast\, you ju
st might hear her shrieks and cackles through the thick trees. If you do\,
it may be a good idea to run.</em></p>\n<p><em>The children call her SPEA
RFINGER...and she is always hungry.</em></p>\n<p>Inspired by the textured
eeriness and sense of wonder found in Walt Disney Records&rsquo\; Chilling
\, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House (1964)\, and informed by Native A
merican folklore\, SPEARFINGER is an immersive experience that will appeal
to both horror afficionados and lovers of regional art and music.</p>\n<p
 >GHOST FOOD is a project from Paul Cordes Wilm (Nowhere Squares\, Acre Pil
lows)\, in collaboration with The Phasing Octopus (Derrick Moton).</p>\n<p
 >Doors at 6:30 pm\, event begins at 7:00 pm.</p>\n<p>This event is FREE an
