With 25 years of National Park Service as a volunteer Everglades interpretive ranger\, Ellen also holds the UF/IFAS Master Naturalist cert ificate. As well as being a National Park Service volunteer ranger\, leadi ng visitors into active alligator holes for fun\, she also is committed to creating climate conversations wherever she goes. She created this Climat e Conversations presentation series to help the lay public understand the science\, the seriousness\, and the solutions of climate change.

S he has taught with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Miami\, and the Institute for Retired Learners at the University of Fl orida\, as well as to civic and religious groups\, the Sierra Club\, and t he Florida Trail Association.
