Calling All Trash Trekkers!
\nIf you are disturbed by seeing trash on the sidewalks and streets on the West En d\; if you are concerned by the plastic bags and fast food cups floating d own our gutters into the streams\; if seeing one more discarded plastic wa ter bottle on its way to the majestic Potomac River makes you want to scre am\; if you&rsquo\;ve asked yourself &ldquo\;what can I do?&rdquo\; - come join us as we make a difference in the place where we live.
\nThe B urke Branch Library has formed a group of "trash trekkers". Working togeth er\, we&rsquo\;ll be cleaning up areas around the library on a regular bas is. So grab your walking shoes and help us keep our streets - and the bein gs who live here - healthy.
\nClean up supplies will be provided. Pl ease dress for the weather as we will be outside. This activity will requi re the ability to walk at an easy pace and to bend to pick up items on the ground. \;
