\nFor the Love of Bo oks: For many of us\, books are our cherished companions\, provid ing inspiration\, ideas\, and possibilities. They also document real-life experiences that we all need to hear\, as well as fiction to help us under stand and dream. Books are the keepers of our human story. As writers\, we learn to write by reading\; it&rsquo\;s a necessary part of our practice. In this workshop\, we will all share some of our favorite books\, study t he specific techniques the authors use\, and write about our own relations hip with books. We&rsquo\;ll use several techniques to produce different k inds of writing and share our words with each other. We&rsquo\;ll walk awa y with a checklist of how to become a better reader\, a better writer\, an d a better supporter of the freedom to read books in our community&mdash\; especially our public libraries! Join us for a well-facilitated\, thoughtf ul workshop that will help us all build a stronger community\, too.
