In Conversation: \;Dominique Caissie & amp\; Eva-Lynn Loy\, \;will be on view in the Peterborough Town Librar y&rsquo\;s Community Art Gallery from Saturday\, March 4th until Wednesday \, April 26th \;and will feature blown glass work by Dominique Caissie and acrylic paintings by Eva-Lynn Loy.
\nThe opening reception will be held on First Friday\, April 7th\, 2023 from 5-7pm. During the recepti on\, both artists will be present to discuss their work. Caissie will do a special presentation on glassblowing at 6pm\, and Loy will be offering an opportunity for attendees to create their own piece of artwork inspired b y music throughout the evening.
\nDominique Caissie is a millennial glass artist of almost 15 years\, and co-owner of Terrapin Glassblowing St udio in Jaffrey\, NH. When asked about her work Caissie says &ldquo\;my in spirations vary as greatly as my moods&hellip\; I also often dabble heavil y into sculptural forms in my own time\, enjoying the recreation of nature and creatures into glass from my own unique perspective.&rdquo\; This exh ibit will feature many of her larger blown glass animals. \;
\nE va-Lynn Loy has been creating art for as long as she can remember. After r etiring and moving to the Monadnock region in 2005\, Loy began to focus on her painting. Loy describes her artmaking experience through the years as moving from how she viewed a scene from the &ldquo\;outside-in&rdquo\; wi th color and design adaptations\, to her newer work emerging from the &ldq uo\;inside-out&rdquo\; where she tries to find and bring forth what lies w ithin herself. Loy says that for her the artmaking &ldquo\;process takes t ime\, patience\, and trust.&rdquo\; This exhibit will be a retrospective o f her painting journey through the years.
