\nAbout the Author:
\nJean-Christophe Ré\;hel is a Quebec poet\, novelist and screenwriter born April 25\, 1989 in Montreal. His dé\;but novel\, \;Ce qu&rsquo\;on respire sur T atouine \;won Quebec&rsquo\;s prestigious Prix litté\;raire des collé\;giens. It&rsquo\;s his only novel so far\, but he&rsquo\;s bu sy writing a second. Ré\;hel is also the author of five books of poe try. From January 2020 to April 2021 he published &ldquo\;Le poem à\ ; Ré\;hel&rdquo\; every week in the newspaper \;Le Devoir. \ ;He leads poetry workshops for all ages. \; \;Tatouine \;is al so his only book translated into English. \;Ré\;hel&rsquo\;s wri ting describes both the beauty and the blandness of everyday life. \; He explores themes of fatigue\, loneliness\, and illness\, while weaving a good dose of self-deprecating humour.
\nAbout the T ranslators:
\nPeter McCambridge is origina lly from Ireland and holds a BA in modern languages from Cambridge Univers ity\, England. Peter has lived in Quebec City since 2003. His translations have been World Literature Today Notable Translations\, longlisted for Ca nada Reads\, and finalists for the Giller Prize and the Governor General&r squo\;s Award for Translation.
\nShelagh Rogers&nbs p\;is a veteran broadcast-journalist\, currently host and co-producer of C BC Radio&rsquo\;s The Next Chapter\, devoted to writing in Canada. She is an honorary witness to the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and an Officer of the Order of Canada. In 2016\, she was awarded the inau gural Margaret Trudeau Award for Mental Health Advocacy. She holds honorar y doctorates from eight Canadian universities and is Chancellor of the Uni versity of Victoria. Shelagh is of Mé\;tis and Scottish ancestry. He r great-grandmother Edith Rogers was the first Michif woman\, and the firs t woman\, elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba. Edith was from Norway House\, where David A. Robertson&rsquo\;s family has deep roots.
