ing practice of vulnerability and expression.</li>\n<li>Learn from your fe
llow artists and participate in a creative community.</li>\n<li>Enjoy some
local music and poetry\, for free!</li>\n</ul>\n<p>How do I sign up to pe
 rform?</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Register ahead of time <a href="https://docs.google.

.</li>\n<li>If you&rsquo\;re not sure about performing\, your participatio
n as a listener is equally appreciated! If you want to attend as an audien
ce member only\, no need to register.</li>\n<li>If you feel inspired to pe
rform once you get here\, check in with your hosts. We&rsquo\;ll save some
slots for in-person signup.&nbsp\;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Will any equipment be
 provided?</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our set-up will include one vocal mic.</li>\n<li>
We&rsquo\;ll also provide a guitar amp for musicians to plug into (If you

. The space will allow for an acoustic set if you prefer.</li>\n<li>Any ad
ditional sound equipment or instruments will need to be provided by the pe
 rformer.&nbsp\;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Anything I should know before I perform?</
p>\n<ul>\n<li>For seven minutes\, the mic is yours. For singers\, that&rsq
uo\;s enough time for two songs\, on average. For poets\, it will depend o
n the length of your pieces. Do not feel obligated to fill your entire tim
e slot\, but do take care not to go over.&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>Double-check th
at your pieces are appropriate for a mixed-age audience (high school and o
lder). If you&rsquo\;re not sure\, ask.</li>\n<li>Your set should not incl
ude any discriminatory content. If people of any particular race\, gender\
, disability\, or other dimension of identity would feel unsafe or disresp
ected during your performance\, please adjust your material.</li>\n<li>Lis
ten well! It is incredibly generous of performers to let us into their wor
lds. Honor their vulnerability by staying quiet and attentive during perfo
rmances. You never know &ndash\; someone&rsquo\;s poem or song might conta
in the words you didn&rsquo\;t even know you were waiting to hear.<br />&n
