Come to the Georgetown Library to learn ab out the basics of electronics and soldering and follow the footsteps of th e great Nikola Tesla\, for an electrifying experience! This beginning clas s will introduce you the functions of capacitors\, resistors\, transistors and microchips as they work together in an integrated circuit.
\nTh is month\, we will use soldering techniques to put together your own TOWS (Terribly Obnoxious Woodpecker Sound) which produces a very loud woodpecke r sound. This small kit just can't be ignored as it generates the pecking sound of a crazed bird. Uses a small piezo and a two transistor electronic circuits that generate\\ a high voltage to provide a terribly loud "rappi ng/tapping" sound from the piezo. Features include a small control to adju st the speed of the "tapping".
\nYou will be working with a hot sold ering iron and a signed release form is required for all participants. Par ent or guardian signature is necessary for all those under the age of 18.& nbsp\;All supplies provided. \;
