TeekayTheKid\, founder of TheKidSPEAKS\, LLC\, a collective&hellip\; \;
\nOften coined th e &ldquo\;voice of reason\,&rdquo\; she lends her ideas around introspecti ve thinking and reflection to encourage her audiences to impact their circ umstances through the awareness and evolution of self. \;She believes each person is &ldquo\;the expert of their own experience&rdquo\; and prov ides safe spaces for sharing said experiences. As a self-proclaimed conver sationalist\, she facilitates conversations and connections to build bridg es while breaking barriers in her community. She does this in both persona l and professional spaces. In addition to curating\, she enjoys serving ot hers and spending quality time with her family and friends.
\nTeekay\, a name used first by a clos e relative in her youth\, was a simple abbreviation of her birth name\, Te Kahnanna. TheKid is now used to redefine the nickname. She was often the y oungest of the group and \;yet somehow deemed among the wisest\, and n ot by her admission or representation. Since she was a young child\, she h as been considered wise far beyond her years. As she grows her brand and a rtistry\, she leans into her experiences and allows her innate and intuiti ve gifts to be stretched and strengthened. \;
\nIt is said that &ldquo\;from the mouth of babes comes truth and wisdom&rdquo\; in this way TeekayTheKid has only one intention. She seeks to bring her innocence\, t ruth\, and transparency to pages and stages\, coupled with her wit and pla ys on words to share her life&rsquo\;s lessons. TeekayTheKid commits to re maining youthful in her approaches to art. While she has not decided exact ly where she is going\, she is hopeful that her love of words and her dedi cation to writing will continue to make way for her in the community of cr eatives as it changes the world. \;
\nIn January 2020\, she self -published and launched her first Collection of Poetry\, \;&ldquo\;HER Shes: Poetry is My Chocolate\, She is My Muse.&rdquo\; \;She writes ab out her perspectives on Life\, Spirituality\, Relationships\, and Self Awa reness. Inside this collection\, she has a section of what she likes to ca ll &ldquo\;HerKu\,&rdquo\; As a two-fold play on words\, she found this as ownership of her Haiku. She has always enjoyed free verse and unrestricte d writing. More recently\, she has been highly intentional about sticking to the beauty and impactful nature of this short and sweet writing style. In 2022 she was nominated for the DMV Renaissance&rsquo\;s Haikuist of the Year award. Her second published poetry collection will be released by th e Spring of 2024. \;
