Over the last couple of years\, several so cial media accounts and platforms have popped up creating spaces that spar k high-level discussion and trends centered around female rap.
\nSen Yon Kelly\, owner of Nubian Video Archives &\; Collectibles\, is a seri al entrepreneur\, producer\, researcher\, and collector of music and movie memorabilia. \;She is also the Operations Manager and curator for Uni versal Hip Hop Museum located \;in Bronx\, New York. \;Joining her will be Medusa the Gangsta Goddess\, often referred to as the "Godmother of West Coast Hip Hop." Medusa is a respected Hip Hop artist who makes sce nes as a performer and an educator. Medusa&rsquo\;s experiences as a queer Hip Hop artist reframe and expand our understanding of the influence of w omen and women of color musicians and performers on the creation of commun ity\, social activism and popular music aesthetics. This program will take place in-person and streamed live online.
\nAttendance is limited\, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party\, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program.
