 &nbsp\;of&nbsp\;the Boys &amp\; Girls Club of Greater Washington opened it
 s doors in October of 1936 as the Alexandria Boys Club and serves boys and
  girls between the ages of 6 and 18\, offering many diverse programs and&n
 bsp\;activities. &nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\;<br />The art class for 8-10 year-old
 s has been learning about the plastic pollution crisis and creating works 
 of art as an expression of the crisis. These beautiful and expressive piec
 es include a 20' snake made of plastic bottles named Daisy\, Draco\, a wir
 e-framed dog made with plastic bottle labels\, plastic mosaics of fish and
  gyres\, and much more.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>On display will be their works of a
 rt\, specific alternative items that we can all use to replace the use of 
 plastic in our homes and workplaces\, and interesting informational facts 
 about plastic pollution and its impact on our planet.</p>\n<p>Stop by\, ta
