Join us for a pres entation by Mary DeMocker\, author of The Parents&rsquo\; Guide to Climate Revolution: 100 Ways to Build a Fossil-Free Future\, Raise Empowered Kids \, and Still Get a Good Night&rsquo\;s Sleep\, and a panel of youth climat e activists on how we can work together for a thriving future for all.&nbs p\;

Mary DeMocker is a writer\, teacher\, and editor. Since becoming a m other in 1996\, Mary has written about conscious parenting in the age of e cological decline. In 2014\, she co-founded and became creative director o f 350.org&rsquo\;s Eugene chapter. She&rsquo\;s led arts-centered climate rallies and writings were featured in ArtCOP21\, PBSNewsHours\, Nation al Public Radio\, and The New York Times. She&rsquo\;s been quoted in The Washington Post\, WIRED\, National Geographic\, and more! \;

br />Mike Borisov is a Political Sciences student at Glendale Com
munity College. He is also Student Ex-Officio Commissioner of Glendale&rsq
uo\;s Sustainability Commission\, the VP for the Students for Sustainabili
ty at Glendale Community College\, and an Executive Board Member of the De
mocratic Party for the San Fernando Valley. He&rsquo\;s an avid supporter
of sustainable infrastructure\, transit\, and urban planning with career a
spirations to work in politics to help the community. \; \;
Yuzuna Kudo
Yuzuna Kudo is a student passionate about sustainability\, environ
mental science\, and environmental law. She is a Student Ex-Officio Commis
sioner of Glendale&rsquo\;s Sustainability Commission\, a member of the Ca
lifornia Commission on the Status of Women and Girls\, a NOAA Ocean Guardi
an Youth Ambassador\, and a Future Blue Youth Council member. Her goal is
to spread climate change awareness and develop creative climate change sol
utions. \;

Julia Linney \;
Julia
Linney is a Crescenta Valley High School senior passionate about enacting
social progress through sustainable development. She founded the Pear Tree
Foundation establishing a platform for students to spearhead community en
vironmental initiatives. She was part of OneUpActionLA and Extinction Rebe
llion Youth Los Angeles and organized demonstrations and meetings with LAD
WP leadership regarding the water crisis. In the fall\, she will be majori
ng in Sustainable Environmental Design. \;

Nora Karakashian
Nora Karakashian is the Sust ainability Intern for the City of Glendale\, and studying Social Science a nd Sustainability at the University of Arizona. She&rsquo\;s passionate ab out waste reduction practices\, public transit\, and climate resistance. S he was a member of the Sunrise Los Angeles Youth hub member and Glendale S tudents for Sustainability. She&rsquo\;s previously worked for Congressman Adam Schiff&rsquo\;s Office\, and the German American Institute of Saxony in collaboration with the US consulate. \; \; \;
