 e of the Plant Clinics staffed by Montgomery County Master Gardeners\, hel
 d on Wednesdays between April 5 through the end of September in the lobby 
 on the first floor of the Germantown library. These volunteers have had tr
 aining in soil and plant science\, tree and shrub identification\, integra
 ted pest management\, plant diseases and insect pests.</p>\n<p>Master Gard
 eners can help you to:</p>\n<p>- Select the right plants and trees for you
 r site.<br />- Decide when and how to test your soil.<br />- Feed your tur
 f without feeding the Chesapeake Bay.<br />- Identify weeds\, insects and 
 disease.<br />- Avoid blanket use of herbicides and pesticides.<br />- Ide
 ntify and avoid killing beneficial insects.<br />- Learn how and when to p
 rune your trees and shrubs.<br />- Chose the right mulch for your garden.<
 br />- Read seed catalogues.<br />- Develop strategies to deal with deer.<
