Michael Rigg\, a retired Navy Judge Advocate\, plies h is trade as a mild-mannered civil servant and attorney by day\, then morph s into a nascent mystery and thriller writer by night. Mike is a member of Hampton Roads Writers\, as well as the Sisters-in-Crime national organiza tion and its Southeastern Virginia Chapter&mdash\;Mystery by the Sea (MBTS ). \nMike's short story\, "Fou r Cedars\," received First Prize in Fiction at the 2021 Hampton Roads Writ ers Conference. \; His flash fiction work\, "The Writ\," won Third Pla ce in the 2021 Golden Donut Short Story Contest sponsored by the Writers' Police Academy. \;

\nJayne Ormerod \;grew up in a small Ohio town and attended an Ohio college. \;Upon earning a Bachelor of Science De gree in accountancy\, she spent years as a CIA (not a flashy spy thing\, b ut a Certified Internal Auditor). She now pens coastal cozies with a splas h of humor. \;
\nJayne Ormerod writes what she knows&mdash\;smal l towns and beach settings. Thanks to a youth spent reading Nancy Drew and an adulthood devouring the words of Janet Evanovich\, Mary Daheim and Lil lian Jackson Braun\, Jayne now writes about amateur sleuths\, exploding ca rs and dead bodies with a modicum of authority.
\nRaised in a 150-ye ar old farmhouse\, Jayne honed her story-telling skill at a young age.&nbs p\;As a \;U.S. Navy wife\, she began her writing career \;penning romance novels. \; But when her romantic heroine stumbled across a&nbs p\;dead body\, Jayne discovered the secret to creating instant conflict.&n bsp\;Armed with the building blocks of conflict\, \;character and tens ion\, Jayne developed the mismatched duo of Ellery Tindsdale \;(a not- so-gracefully-aging school teacher) and Samantha Greene (Ellery&rsquo\;s&n bsp\;high-energy\, haute-couture neighbor). Their first adventure is told in "The \;Blond Leading the Blond"\, "Blond Faith" is the wildly succe ssful sequel. \;Jayne is editing the third book \;in the series\, "Blond Justice"\, \;and has hopes of continuing with an \;entire&n bsp\;Blonds at the Beach \;series. \nShe is president of the Sisters in Crime\, Mystery by the Sea chapte r\, a member of the Central Virginia chapter\, Chessie chapter\, Guppies c hapter\, Hampton Roads Writers\, and Short Mystery Fiction Society. During her writing career\, Teresa has mentored mystery authors to help develop their writing craft and pathway to publication. \;
\nA Navy brat \, Teresa grew up reading Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries. Combining h er love of reading mysteries and writing professional articles led to writ ing short fiction and novellas.
