X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Emily Gleichenhaus began discovering illus
trated songs when her children were babies. As a&nbsp\;professional theate
r and cabaret artist\, Emily was compelled to sing the songs and started w
orking with amazing musicians to arrange music to accompany the singing. A
nd her repertoire grew.</p>\n<p>With&nbsp\;much experience in theater and
cabaret\, Emily understands the&nbsp\;importance of knowing everything pos
sible about a song and developing a unique interpretation&nbsp\;for it. Th
 us\, Emily&rsquo\;s blog\, SingBooksWithEmily.wordpress.com\, was born in
2009 to provide a way to collect and document what she discovers and devel
ops for each illustrated song.</p>\n<p>Today\, Emily also sometimes accomp
anies herself with ukulele. Her blog is is filled with printable PDFs of h
er simple guitar and ukulele chord arrangements to help you sing with your
kids at home.</p>\n<p>Besides ukulele\, Emily also enhances the musical e
xperience of Sing Books with zany instruments that kids love like kazoo\,
 train whistle\, glockenspiel\, limberjack\, foot tambourines\, rain sticks
\, and jingle bells.</p>\n<p>Emily frequently Sings Books at local librari
es and has sung many thousands of performances in classrooms at local scho
ols. Sing Books gives kids the experience of seeing and hearing music bein
g made right in front of them. It is live performance edutainment. Singing
these songs with kids shares culture\, musical heritage\, history\, and s
ocial and academic literacy. Illustrated songs are an incredibly enriching
\, engaging\, and enjoyable way to learn.</p>\n<p>Come Sing Books with Emi
