 chitecturally distinct building\, designed to resemble an Eastern European
  Jewish shtetl\, or village\, located in an apple orchard in western New E
 ngland. Offered in conjunction with the library&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Stories o
 f Exile&rdquo\; reading group\, which features works in Yiddish translatio
 n exploring questions of homelands\, journeys\, identity\, and belonging\,
  this tour will tell the story of how the book center was founded\, what k
 inds of programs it runs\, and how the Yiddish language continues to survi
 ve and grow today.</p>\n<p><br />Held via Zoom\, the program will consist 
 of a short\, lively lecture by Jennifer Young\, Education Programs Manager
  at the Yiddish Book Center\, followed by a Q&amp\;A. Closed captioning wi
 ll be provided.</p>\n<p>Whether you're a lifelong fan of Yiddish literatur
 e or simply curious to learn more about this fascinating language and cult
 ure\, this virtual field trip is sure to be an informative and enriching e
 xperience.</p>\n<p><strong>More about the Stories of Exile Reading Group</
 strong></p>\n<p>We're able to offer this tour because Bexley Public Librar
 y was selected as a participating library for the Yiddish Book Center's "S
 tories of Exile" Reading Groups for Public Libraries for 2023.The Yiddish 
 Book Center&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Stories of Exile&rdquo\; Reading Groups for P
 ublic Libraries is a reading and discussion program to engage teens and ad
 ults in thinking about experiences of displacement\, migration\, and diasp
 ora. In this program\, librarians organize reading groups to discuss three
  books of Yiddish literature in translation\, and one book related to the 
 experience of a community served by their library.</p>\n<p>The Yiddish Boo
 k Center&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Stories of Exile&rdquo\; Reading Groups for Publ
