 t techniques.</p>\n<p>During the workshop\, Duarte will guide participants
  through the process of creating their own masterpiece. Participants will 
 have the opportunity to explore different art styles and techniques while 
 receiving Duarte's personalized guidance. No previous art experience is re
 quired - this workshop is open to artists of all levels\, from beginners t
 o experienced artists looking to refine their skills. All necessary materi
 als will be provided\, so all you need to bring is your creativity!</p>\n<
 p>The Art Builds Community Program Series is made possible through the gen
 erosity and funding of the Rath Creative Arts Fund of the Bexley Community
  Foundation.</p>\n<p><strong>Please register\, space is limited.&nbsp\; Re

 n: underline\;"><em><strong>Artist Bio</strong></em></span></p>\n<p>Richar
 d &ldquo\;Duarte&rdquo\; Brown is a master artist with the TRANSIT ARTS Yo
 uth Arts Program and the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education&rsquo\;s (OAAE) 
 Art in the House program. For more than 30 years\, Duarte has dedicated hi
 s talents to helping young people in Columbus through countless programs i
 ncluding CAPACITY (the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts&rsquo\
 ; youth arts program)\, the Short Stop Youth Center\, the King Arts Comple
 x\, the OAAE Artists-in-Schools program\, the Greater Columbus Arts Counci
 l&rsquo\;s (GCAC) Children of the Future\, Ebony Boys\, Art Safe\, and Art
  Possible Ohio. A member of the Ohio Teaching Artist Roster\, Duarte has w
 orked as a high school art instructor at the Arts and College Preparatory 
 Academy in Columbus. He has also led hands-on artmaking experiences at Whi
 tehall City Schools and Berne Union Schools in the Village of Sugar Grove 
 in Fairfield County as a resident artist supported by the Ohio Arts Counci
 l&rsquo\;s TeachArtsOhio arts learning grant program.</p>\n<p>Through his 
 own mixed-media paintings\, Duarte connects people through the sharing of 
 narratives that unveil layers of personal development and stir individual 
 strength\, wisdom\, and courage. He encourages the innate creative voice i
 n all of us through visual demonstrations of ethnography that show a quest
  for growth\, provoke dialogue\, and draw out the brilliance of the lifelo
 ng alumni of his creative influence.&nbsp\; In 2022\, Duarte received the 
 Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson Fellowship from GCAC and the Columbus Museum o
 f Art\, as well as the Governor's Award for Arts Education.&nbsp\; His mur
