SafetyCare for Families is a trai ning program for family members who support children\, adolescents\, or ad ults who may exhibit challenging or dangerous behavior. This innovative co urse is designed to provide parents\, family members\, and others with the skills and interventions needed to improve behavior and to prevent\, mini mize\, and manage potentially dangerous incidents.

The focus
in SafetyCare is on prevention\, safety\, and humane\, supportive\, evide
nce-based interventions. Participants will ONLY learn preventative measure
s to avoid crisis or manage crisis behaviors safely until emergency respon
ders can arrive.

Behavior Bridges \;offers educational and
behavioral based services to individuals affected by autism and related d
evelopmental disabilities.
In 2022\, Behavior Bridges was chosen by P
ierce County to support Behavioral Health in the community through a new p
roject\, Preventing Behavioral Health Crises for Autism and Developmental
Disabilities. This new programming\, fully funded through 2023\, aims to p
rovide various social groups for all ages and preventative behavior health
crisis training for caregivers to further provide access to services for
our community. This program is funded by the Pierce County Behavioral Heal
