Tre&rsquo\;vell Anderson is an award-winning journalist\, social curator\, and world changer who always comes to slay! Formerly the director of cult ure and entertainment at \;Out \;magazine\, and a film reporter wi th the \;Los Angeles Times\, \;they have dedicated their career to centering those in the margins\, grey spaces\, and at the intersections o f life through a pop culture lens. Tre&rsquo\;vell co-hosts two podcasts\, Crooked Media's "What A Day" and Maximum Fun's "FANTI." Their reporting a nd commentary can be found in \;Essence\, \;Teen Vogue\, \;the \;Washington Post\, \;Esquire\, and \;Time \;magazine\, a mong other publications. Rayceen Pendarvis \;is an event host\, interviewer\, moderator\, commentator\, panelist\, in spirational speaker\, social media personality\, freelance columnist\, wed ding officiant\, community advocate\, and lifelong Washingtonian.
\nThis dynamic personality has hosted numerous fundraisers\, pride celebrati ons\, community gatherings\, talent showcases\, arts festivals\, fashion s hows\, balls\, and other events for several decades.
\nThe community has honored Rayceen many times over the past several years\, including aw ards from GMHC's Latex Ball in NYC\, The DC Center for the LGBT Community\ , DC Councilmember Anita Bonds\, Empowerment Liberation Cathedral Church\, and the Community Church of Washington\, DC. In 2016\, Capital Pride Alli ance named Rayceen a Capital Pride Hero. Later that year\, despite not bei ng ordained or ministering in a traditional capacity\, Rayceen&rsquo\;s re putation as the &ldquo\;High Priestess of Love&rdquo\; resulted in Rayceen being voted Best Clergy in the \;Washington Blade \;Best of Gay D C Readers&rsquo\; Poll. (Rayceen was voted Best Clergy for a second time i n 2018.) In 2017\, Rayceen was a finalist in The Mayor&rsquo\;s Arts Award s for Excellence in the Humanities. For the inaugural Best of LGBTQ Reader s' Choice Awards\, Rayceen appeared on the cover of the \;Washington B lade \;and was named Local Hero. A tireless advocate\, promoter\, and champion of various causes\, Rayceen has also earned the monikers &ldquo\; Queen of the Shameless Plug&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;Goddess of DC.&rdquo\;
\nRayceen has hosted and co-hosted various monthly\, annual\, and other recurring events in conjunction with DC Public Library\, The DC Office of Aging and Community Living\, The DC Center for the LGBT Community\, the D C Mayor's Office of LGBTQ Affairs\, Story District\, and Team Rayceen Prod uctions. By being one of the few people who have hosted or co-hosted numer ous LGTBQ+ Pride celebrations in DC\, including DC Black Pride\, Capital T rans Pride\, Youth Pride\, Silver Pride\, and DC Latinx Pride\, Rayceen is known as the Empress of Pride.
\nFor ten years\, Rayceen hosted&nbs p\;The Ask Rayceen Show \;(2012-2021)\, a monthly community gathering and live entertainment event in Washington\, DC.
