X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>In 2022\, author and photographer Wheeler
Antabanez took one last walk on the abandoned Erie railroad tracks before
they were ripped up in preparation for the future Essex/Hudson Greenway. T
he drone images and video he captured on his hike from Montclair to Jersey
City resulted in a book and movie about this epic local adventure\, which
was released in October 2022 by Abandoned Books. <a href="http://luckycig
 arette.com/walking_the_old_boonton_line/"><em>Walking the Old Boonton Line
: A Photographic Journey on the Abandoned Rails of New Jersey</em></a> is
the definitive last look at this historic railroad.</p>\n<p>During this li
ve presentation\, Wheeler will recreate his journey with a narrated video
presentation that retraces every step of his walk. You'll&nbsp\;be transpo
rted along the abandoned tracks of the Old Boonton Line on a guided virtua
l tour through the New Jersey towns of Montclair\, Glen Ridge\, Bloomfield
 \, Belleville\, Newark\, Kearny\, Secaucus\, and Jersey City\, emerging fr
om the Bergen Arches and ending at the Hudson River Waterfront.</p>\n<p>Af
ter his presentation\, Wheeler will take questions from the audience and c
opies of his books will be available for sale (cash or Venmo accepted).</p
 >\n<p>With over 20 years of experience walking the fringes of literature a
nd photography\, Wheeler is known for books about New Jersey and his compe
lling live readings. His knack for finding the hidden beauty in the devast
ation and decay of our urban environment shines through in his unique stor
y-telling style. Wheeler is best known for his role as a correspondent for
Weird NJ Magazine and is the author of numerous books.</p>\n<p></p>\nhttp
