ting. Former Artist-In-Residence Julie Smetana created her sculptures with
both in mind.</p>\n<p>During her residency at The Hive&reg\;\, Julie crea
ted many pieces of pottery - some successful\, others with broken pieces.
Whether she chose to repair the broken pieces or start with a fresh piece
of clay\, a lot of experimentation went into each stage of creation.&nbsp\
;</p>\n<p>Join Julie for the culmination of her residency including an art
exhibit and artist talk! She'll dive into the struggles she encountered d
uring her creative process along with the successes she celebrated. Enjoy
the art exhibit from 5:30-6pm. The artist talk will begin at 6pm.</p>\n<p>
Julie's exhibit is located on the first-floor gallery (across from New Lea
f Cafe)\; the artist talk will be in Events B\, also on the first floor.</
