The T oledo Lucas County Public Library is excited to celebrate the upcoming Ita lian Bowl taking place on Saturday\, July 1. In honor of this special even t\, your Library is partnering with the Italian Bowl to host a panel discu ssion featuring the work of New York Times Best Selling Author John Grisha m and his book\, Playing for Pizza. The panel will also feature profession al football players Nick Eyde\, Kris Durham\, and James Starks.\n
About the Event:
\nJohn Grisham and Kris Durham will join us virtually\, with Nick Eyde and James Starks atte nding in person. This free event does require advance registration. Up to 40 lucky attendees will receive a limited-edition Italian Bowl poster at t he event!

\nAbout the Italian Bowl:
\nThe 42nd Italian Bowl is coming to Toledo&rsquo\;s Glass Bowl S tadium on Saturday\, July 1\, 2023. The game will mark the first time in I talian Football League (IFL) history that Italy&rsquo\;s national champion ship will be played outside of Europe.
\nThe first official Italian Football Season dates back to 1980\, over 40 years ago. The Italian Federa tion of American Football (FIDAF) has the official mandate to promote foot ball in Italy and regulate the legitimacy of all games played during the r egular season\, playoffs\, and finals. Nowadays\, FIDAF has about 100 affi liated teams counting more than 10\,000 male and female athletes who compe te in tackle and flag football leagues within a spectrum of various age br ackets (youth and senior championships).
\nThe XLII Italian Bowl wil l be a key element of Toledo\, Ohio&rsquo\;s Fourth of July weekend festiv ities in 2023.
