The Dania Beach Paul DeMaio Library is hos ting a 4 (four) week series\, &ldquo\;All Together Now&rdquo\; Family Lite racy Night beginning Thursday\, July 13 and continuing on July 20\, 27\, a nd August 3. All sessions are from 5:30-7:30PM. This program is open to fa milies that include children ages 2-8 along with their siblings and parent s/caregivers.
\nEach session will include an interactive reading exp erience and reading skills lesson\, followed by a hands-on activity for ch ildren and parents/caregivers will be led by Amy Gutierrez\, ESOL coach at Meadowbrook Elementary School in Fort Lauderdale. Parents/caregivers will learn ways to use new vocabulary and text in discussions to increase read ing comprehension and develop a love of reading through shared reading.
\nFamilies are highly encouraged to attend all four sessions since the reading skills will build upon each other week by week.
\nEach fami ly will receive that week&rsquo\;s featured book(s) at the end of each ses sion\, as well as an opportunity to win a family game. The books chosen fo r this program will highlight the Collaborative Summer Learning Program th emes of friendship\, kindness\, unity\, and inclusion.
\nFood will b e provided by the Friends of the Dania Beach Paul DeMaio Library.
