Similar to other Americans\, those whose a ncestors come from Arab-identified countries of the Middle East North Afri ca (MENA) region can find clues to their family history in traditional gen ealogical sources. This presentation will introduce tips and tricks to con ducting Arab American genealogical research. Reem Awad-Rash mawi is an immigration attorney\, professional genealogist\, and community historian. After researching her own family for over 3 decades\, she open ed Photographs and Memories by Reem\, researching professionally and lectu ring at societies and conferences nationwide. Reem is the founder of the N ational Society for Arab and Arab American Genealogy and is currently work ing on several Arab American history projects. She is a member of the Asso ciation of Professional Genealogists\, National Genealogy Society\, Oral H istory Association\, and several regional\, state and local genealogy orga nizations.
