 resa Church Moriarty\, Morissa is a 16-year-old from Upper Marlboro\, Mary
 land. She is the three-time Maryland High School Rodeo All-Around Cowgirl 
 Champion and two-time Rodeo Queen. She is the first African American high 
 school rodeo queen in Maryland. In 2022\, County Executive Angela Alsobroo
 ks proclaimed October 24th as Morissa Hall Day in Prince George&rsquo\;s C
 ounty in recognition of Morissa&rsquo\;s incredible accomplishments.</p>\n

 he 2023 Maryland High School Rodeo&rsquo\;s Association&rsquo\;s barrel ra

 >In her first year in high school in 2021\, she was the 2020-2021 Maryland
  High School Rodeo Pole Bending Champion\, Rookie of the Year\, Reserve Ba
 rrel Racing Champion\, All-Around Cowgirl\, and Rodeo Queen. She competed 
 in barrel racing\, pole bending\, and the Queen Contest at the National Hi
 gh School Finals Rodeo in Nebraska in her first year. She won the imprompt
 u question portion of the National High School Rodeo Queen Contest and pla
 ced 23rd overall in the nation. She is the first Maryland High school rode
 o queen to win a portion of the National High School rodeo queen contest.&

 he competed at the NHSRF in Wyoming in barrel racing\, pole bending\, goat

 aryland High School Rodeo Queen and placed fifth in the speech competition
 .</p>\n<p>In addition to her extensive accomplishments in rodeo\, only som
 e of which are captured here\, Morissa is a successful student\, maintaini
 ng 4.2 GPA at Elizabeth Ann Seton High School where she participates in Ho
 nors and Advanced Placement classes\, is a National Honor Society inductee
 \, is a member of Seton Diamonds\, the school&rsquo\;s women&rsquo\;s empo
 werment group\, and is active in theatre\, community service\, and much mo
