Following the introduction of marine ecosy stems\, we will take a deep dive into the fascinating lives of sharks\, oc topuses and coral reefs\, examining their life histories\, biology and the role they play in the sustainability and health of the ocean environment. With 70% of the Earth&rsquo\;s surface covered by oceans\, the marine env ironment is home to a great variety of oceanic plants and animals inhabiti ng a diverse number of marine ecosystems. \;
\nUpon earning a d egree in marine biology from the Florida Institute of Technology\, Tim wor ked at the University of Florida as a Marine Biologist studying the ecolog y of the wetlands of the east-central coast of Florida. Upon retirement as a patent scientist\, he joined the volunteer staff of the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago as an Exhibit Ambassador as well as assisting the Shedd&rsquo\; s Conservation Research Group in shark research.
