 are welcome to the program.</strong></p>\n<p>The African roots of Kemetic 
 Yoga are a type of yoga developed by ancient Egyptians thousands of years 
 ago. Humans have been practicing yoga for thousands of years. Today\, yoga
  has many distinctive styles. One of them is chair yoga\, which will help 
 to improve balance and flexibility\, and overall health and wellness. Many
  may not know that Rosa Parks\, Maya Angelou\, and Tina Turner also practi
 ced yoga. Stephanie Y. Evans\, a professor at Georgia State University\, w
 rote a book called Black Women&rsquo\;s Yoga History: Memoirs of Inner Pea
 ce (SUNY Press\, 2021)\, which includes the personal self-care stories of 
 dozens of black women\, including Maya Angelou\, Rosa Parks\, and Tina Tur
 ner. Even if someone has never done yoga before or attended other exercise
  classes\, AARLCC is inviting you to the library's community Chair Yoga se
 ssions\, which can help to improve balance and flexibility. Please bring y
 our own yoga mat\, if you prefer\, or else the instructor will provide the

  the African American Research Library and Cultural Center&nbsp\;</strong>

 anchInfo=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The&nbsp\;Broward County Africa
 n American Research Library and Cultural Center&nbsp\;(AARLCC)</a>&nbsp\;i
 s located in the Sistrunk community\, one of the oldest historically Black
  communities named for one of Fort Lauderdale&rsquo\;s first Black physici
 ans. Opening to the public on October 26\, 2002\, AARLCC became the third 
 public library of its kind in the United States dedicated to the study of 
 Black history and culture. The 60\,000 square-foot Center serves as a repo
 sitory of materials related to the local\, national\, and international vo
 ices of the African diaspora with more than 85\,000 books\, manuscripts\, 
 artifacts\, framed art\, print\, photography\, audiovisual\, and documents
  held in our Adult Services Section and Special Collections. The Youth Ser
 vices Section features a special collection of Coretta Scott King Award bo
 oks and the&nbsp\;Ashley Bryan Art Collection&nbsp\;from illustrators of A
 frican Descent. AARLCC also features a 5\,000 sq. ft. museum\, a 300-seat 
 state-of-the-art theatre\, and a Computer Training Center.</p>\n<p><img sr
