\nEvaAnne John son is a Genealogy and Local History Librarian in the Chicagoland area\, a nd has been researching her own family history since 1998. She earned a Ma ster of Library and Information Science (MS/LIS) degree from the Universit y of Illinois Urbana-Champaign\, and a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Coll ege. She is a member of the Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Boa rd\, and a Consultant at the Wilmette FamilySearch Center. In addition to blogging about family history\, she also contributes to publications of lo cal historical societies and is in the process of writing a family cookboo k.
