  of History at the University of Central Florida since 2004\, he is recogn
 ized as one of the most prolific and influential scholars in the field of 
 Caribbean history. His publications include articles in&nbsp\;Cuban Studie
 s\,&nbsp\;Slavery and Abolition\,&nbsp\;Latin American Research Review\,&n
 bsp\;The Americas\,&nbsp\;Caribbean Studies\,&nbsp\;and in numerous edited
  volumes.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>His books include&nbsp\;<em>When the World
  Turned Upside Down: Politics\, Culture\, and the Unimaginable Events of 2
 019-2022</em>\,&nbsp\;<em>Fighting Slavery in the Caribbean</em>\,&nbsp\;<
 em>Revolutionary Cuba: A History</em>\, widely acclaimed as the most compr
 ehensive and systematic study on the subject ever written and&nbsp\;<em>Ke
