The Manhattan Short Film Festival is back for its 26th season\, featuring a brand-new set of short films for 2023. T his annual event takes place in over 400 cities across six continents\, wh ere film lovers are given the unique opportunity to watch and vote on a se lection of exceptional short films. This year's festival will present a se lection of 10 short films\, each no longer than 18 minutes\, representing a wide variety of genres\, including drama\, comedy\, animation\, and docu mentary. The films have been selected from hundreds of entries from around the world\, providing audiences with a captivating cinematic experience d uring a single week.
\nEvery film selected for Manhattan Short 2023 will be automatically qualified for the Oscars of 2024. Additionally\, Man hattan Short does a full week's run at a cinema in Hollywood which is adve rtised in the LA Weekly\, providing an excellent platform for emerging fil mmakers to showcase their work to a global audience. This unique festival format unites audiences across the globe through the shared experience of watching great films\, while also providing a stage for emerging filmmaker s to reach a global audience and be recognized for their exceptional work.
