\nDan's career has taken him around the globe\, and he' s as comfortable in a chamber ensemble as he is accompanying a modern danc e troupe. He's been featured on recordings alongside \;jazz-fusion gia nts Mike Stern and Randy Brecker and is the "go-to" cellist for many notab le Philadelphia artists such \;as Lotus\, Suzanne Sheer\, MINKA\, and Keegan Tawa. \;
\nDan is one of a burgeoning group of cellists w ho strive to take the instrument outside of its strictly classical context into the world of improvisational music. His approach to the instrument h as seen him play alongside rock stars from Ween and Henry Rollins Band as well as in gospel churches\, electronica groups and a wide variety of rock and jazz ensembles where he's as comfortable ripping into a solo as the g uitarist standing beside him. \;
\nAs a solo artist\, Dan has ma de a name for himself with his innovative approach to live-looping technol ogy. By tapping\, plucking and bowing on his instrument and recording each layer to play back in real time\, he's built a career as a one-man-band w ho provides soulful\, original music for weddings\, fine restaurants\, pri vate parties\, corporate events and more. Using the cello\, Dan is able to reveal the inner workings of his heart and soul to those who listen.
