 \, we will engage with poetry as not only a form of expression but as a me
 thod of more fully inhabiting the world with consciousness and empathy. In
  this course\, you will encounter questions that will help shape your iden
 tity as a writer&mdash\; What do you hope to accomplish through your writi
 ng? What does it mean to be a writer\, anyway? This workshop aims to provi
 de you with the foundational knowledge and craft savviness to be confident
  in your unique creative instincts.<br /><br />A poet and short fiction wr
 iter\, Dylan Hopper (she/her) was born and raised in South Carolina\, wher
 e she graduated from the College of Charleston <em>summa cum laude</em> wi
 th a B.A. in English Literature\, a concentration in Creative Writing\, an
 d a minor in Psychology. Shortly after graduating\, she attended the Unive
 rsity of Iowa&rsquo\;s Summer Program in Poetry. She is currently pursuing
  an MFA at the University of Arkansas&rsquo\; Program in Creative Writing 
 and Translation where she teaches Creative Writing and Essay Writing. Her 
 work meditates on the nature of identity\, gender\, sexuality\, and spirit
 uality. Her poems and short stories have been published in <em>Miscellany<
 /em>\, <em>Plain China</em>\, and <em>The Molotov Cocktail</em>.</p>\nhttp
