  for Public Libraries</a> for 2023. As part of this this series\, we will 
 discuss "On the Landing" stories by Yenta Mash.</p>\n<p>Book summary:</p>\
 n<p><em>"On the Landing" is a collection of sixteen short stories in which
  prize-winning author Yenta Mash traces an arc across continents\, across 
 upheavals and regime changes\, and across the phases of a woman's life.&nb
 sp\; Mash's protagonist are often in transit\, poised "on the landing" on 
 their way to or from somewhere else.</em></p>\n<p><strong>About the Storie
 s of Exile Series:</strong></p>\n<p>The Yiddish Book Center&rsquo\;s &ldqu
 o\;Stories of Exile&rdquo\; Reading Groups for Public Libraries is a readi
 ng and discussion program to engage teens and adults in thinking about exp
 eriences of displacement\, migration\, and diaspora. In this program\, lib
 rarians organize reading groups to discuss three books of Yiddish literatu
 re in translation\, and one book related to the experience of a community 
 served by their library.&nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\;<br />The Yiddish Book Center&
 rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Stories of Exile&rdquo\; Reading Groups for Public Librar
