 le folded book structures\, including an X-book\, accordion books\, and sn
 ake books. Handmade books are wonderful devices to both generate ideas and
  recycle old ideas into new forms. We will use these folded structures to 
 work in a series of related composition using drawing materials and collag
 e.</p>\n<p>In the first half of class we'll learn how to fold the book pat
 terns. After a short break\, we will explore the books as ways of developi
 ng content and composition.</p>\n<p>All materials will be supplied but if 
 you have a favorite medium that you like to work in\, you may want to brin
 g it. Be prepared to get messy (bring an apron or wear clothes that are ok
 ay to get paint on). Bring a lunch or snack for the break. There is no foo
 d available for purchase on-site.</p>\n<p>Note: If you took the first sess
 ion of this class\, you may take this class as well to continue to explore
  book-making techniques and painting.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>By&nbsp\;attending li
