\nJoin us on Monday\, October 16th\, for our first Community Engagement Fellows event - an engag ing conversation with Hartford Public Library and Haneef Nelson about "The Important Role Music Played for Black Culture from Slavery to Present."\n
The discussion will be based on Yaa Gyasi's Homegoing but no need t o read the book beforehand&mdash\;just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm . We&rsquo\;ll be going to a restaurant on Park Street for dinner before h eading to the Hartford Public Library Park Street Branch (604 Park Street) .
