 </p>\n<p>Tom Madigan is a Michigan native who grew up in a small town on t
 he Great Lakes before moving to the Toledo area in the early 90s. After co
 llege at Bowling Green State University\, he moved to Los Angeles without 
 a job or housing lined up to pursue screenwriting and filmmaking in Hollyw
 ood. Little did he know the extraordinary (and sometimes hilarious!) chall
 enges in store\, and came face-to-face with dastardly&nbsp\;and dangerous 
 circumstances\, including finding a supposedly "free rent" living situatio
 n in exchange for a quasi-caretaking position of an estranged old man. Aft
 er returning to the Midwest many years&nbsp\;later\, he wrote his first no
 vel\,&nbsp\;Los Angeles Land\, a fictional thriller partially inspired by 
 true crime and paranormal events\, some of which the author was allegedly
