October is National Dyslexia Awareness Mon th and the O'Neal Library and Spring Valley School will be partnering to r aise awareness about dyslexia and other learning issues.

Tonight's program is the 1st of a two part series led by credentialed educators in dyslexia intervention. The program will allow audience members to experien ce the frustrating emotions of dyslexia firsthand through realistic simula tion exercises.

\n

We will also discuss the prevalence of dyslexia an d its creative advantages. Speakers will introduce us to the science behin d reading and how it is used to combat literacy issues. We will also explo re available resources for families managing dyslexia and will end the eve ning with a Q&\;A session.
