 ees wanting to learn how to make simple alterations and mending techniques
  to upcycle clothing. Make a repair\, change a sleeve\, hem or neckline\, 
 or add an embellishment\, or make something new\; all with the goal of ext
 ending the wearability and life of a piece of clothing. Best suited for yo
 uth with basic familiarity with hand-sewing and mending. Attendees are inv
 ited to bring a piece of clothing to consider for repair\, redesign or rec
 ycle and brainstorm a plan&nbsp\; and begin the process. Each attendee wil
 l receive basic sewing supplies and a sheet to review stitches.</p>\n<p>Ta
 ke thrifted clothes or garments from yesteryear and make them fit like new
  with this hands-on class. Best suited for kids with basic familiarity wit
 h sewing and mending. For introductory skills\, check out our mending prog
 rams October 3\, 4\, and 5 at Liberty Park\, Indian Trail\, and South Hill
